Convergence with line Departments
Convergence with line Departments are becoming priority issue in the State at this point of time. It is noted that the States who are performing well in NREGS are already well ahead in convergence with other departments of State Government.
Departments who are in the priority list of Burdwan are : Forests, Agriculture, CADC, KVK, Horticulture, Fisheries, DRDC, Animal Husbandry, Micro-Irrigation, Irrigation and Waterways , Sericulture. Block Development Officers & Block Programme Officer, NREGS have been instructed to hold meetings at Block level with line Departments to incorporate such schemes and send Annual Action Plan subsequently. A detail meeting will be convened by District Magistrate & District Programme Co-ordinator NREGS shortly.
