A Draft Plan was made in consultation with KVK, CADC, Department of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Department of Fisheries which is as follows :
1. Krishi Vigyan Kendra : KVK will tie up with NREGS in 3 phases :
Phase – I : Training : Training will be organised at KVK, Budbud, Burdwan District for Block Sub Assistant Engineers, Technical Assistant, Nirman Sahayak of Gram Panchayat who will implement the scheme with advance scientific application and technology.
Annual Allocation from NREGS : Rs. 50,000/-

Phase – II : Development of 18 Area of Demonstration Plot : The Demonstration Plot / Farms of KVK in Budbud Gram Panchayat will be developed. Budbud Gram Panchayat will act as PIA.
Annual Allocation of fund from NREGS : Rs. 19,50000/-

Phase – III : District Cell will hold co-ordinating meeting with KVK & Block Development Officers after which details of Water Bodies reexcavated / renovated under NREGS in 2008-2009 will be analysed & Schemes will be identified which will be taken up by the concerned Gram Panchayats. KVK will provide technical support.

2. Animal Husbandry : The Animal Husbandry Department will be doing convergence work of NREGS in 2009-2010. They will be using their departmental fund for works which cannot be taken up in NREGS. They will be developing the water bodies in NREGS around which they will be taking up departmental works.

3. CADC : CADC will be converging with NREGS work especially in Horticulture, Orchard & Social Forestry Sectors.

4. Fishery : District Fishery Department is keen in convergence programme. They have been supplied with the details of water bodies renovated & re excavated under NREGS.

5. Agriculture : Agriculture Department will also be taking up schemes for convergence. They will take up NREGS support along with departmental Fund.
